Based in Denver, CO
Mike is an experienced Platform Engineer in the software industry, proficient in technical solution design, cloud infrastructure, Kubernetes, Golang, IaC, and cloud native architectures. He also possesses knowledge in industrial control systems (ICS) and building automation systems (BAS). In addition to technical expertise, Mike is also skilled in program and project management.
Automation is Mike’s passion, and he believes in working smarter, not harder. He utilizes various tools such as Gitlab, Go, and Terraform to minimize human intervention and simplify the rollout of new solutions. Why reinvent the wheel when there are affordable options available?
Mike’s daily work involves a software stack comprising Istio, Go, Typescript, Python, Postgres, ElasticSearch, and Snowflake; with more services running in EKS.
When Mike isn’t in front of a computer, he enjoys spending time in the mountains. Whether it’s camping, hiking, snowboarding, or going for a drive in his Subaru STi, the mountains are Mike’s nirvana. You can also find him in the RiNo Art District, enjoying IPAs at various breweries and eating ramen at Osaka. If you’re at Defcon in Las Vegas, buy him a beer! He’s likely participating in a capture the flag competition at ICS Village.
